HeArt of the Dragon by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley’s Club 1515 Teen Center

This past January, Dynasty Brush had the honor of being a supplier for the Club 1515 Teen Center’s HeArt of the Dragon painting.

Located in Napa Valley, CA, Club 1515 Teen Center is a program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley. Their mission is to inspire and enable young people with their enriching after-school programs.

Club 1515 Teens worked with artist Blake Barrios to create this dynamic piece focused on the Year of the Dragon. The collaboration features a 7’ x 4’ depiction of a koi dragon, colorfully appointed by the teen artists. Dynasty Brush donated a variety of brushes for the project to aid them in their creation, including brushes from our Kalel Quill, Black Gold, Blue Ice, Mongolian Sable, Urban FX, Faux Sable, and Interlock Bronze collections.

The painting won third place in the teen visual art category at the National Fine Arts Competition at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. It will also be featured as a custom label for Rebellium Wines in a 100-bottle limited release, with the proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley.

As a thank you, the teens presented HeArt of the Dragon pieces to their suppliers and included their signatures in the framed piece. Today, it proudly hangs in the Dynasty Brush New York offices.

The HeArt of the Dragon is currently on display at Color Theory in downtown Napa but will move soon to be prominently featured for the Boys & Girls Clubs Fine Arts Show on May 16, 2024
