Gearing Up for Creativation+: What Artists Are Saying About Water Lily

As you know, the events of 2020 made us rethink how we can gather safely. Lots of in-person events that Dynasty and FM Brush Company regularly attend were cancelled. Although we missed seeing you in person last year, we look forward to interacting with you safely at virtual events this year! First up is Creativation+, a combined online event with AFCI Creativation and NAMTA taking place March 15-19, 2021.

One of our brightest moments of 2020 was introducing the world to our new collection of watercolor brushes, Water Lily by Dynasty, at Creativation. Here again, we'd like to tell you what artists are saying about these perfect watercolor brushes. And you can find a complete list of Water Lily retailers at the end of the article!

Dynasty Water Lily

Water Lily is our newest techno-synthetic line of watercolor brushes! They are sustainable, cruelty-free, and have a unique combination of synthetic fibers able to hold a large amount of pigment while allowing for a controlled release of paint. With their soft spring, smooth snap, crisp point, and their short coral shimmer wood handles, Water Lily is the perfect tool for traditional watercolor, inking, and art journaling.

Some lucky artists were given a special opportunity to try these unique brushes prior to their widespread release. Here is what makers, creators, and designers are saying about them:

From artist Gina Croce:
“I have been painting and teaching for many years and am always skeptical of trying something new. I have to say, this was the absolute exception! I was sooo pleased with the ability that they have to hold lots of water, the point which snaps back (#1 importance to me) and the quill is so soft and thirsty I was absolutely thrilled!”

From artist Robyne Recca:
“I really liked how they performed for me. I loved how light-weight they felt in my hand and felt that they held a lot of water...the points on the brushes were easy to pull/push color where narrow lines met without going beyond the area.”
